How can i watch my recordings on comcast tv?

i've recorded lots of stuff ( i know how to record stuff but just not how to watch them). i haven't watched it while recording it, or anything. my friends say to click my dvr but nothing happens. the red light just flashes on the cable part on the remote.

Answer:
Who knows what brand(s) cable box/DVR and remote you have. Contact your cable provider for help. You can probably get directions over the phone.

If you have a button on your Comcast remote marked "My DVR" push it to get into the DVR menu. Click on the pre-recorded show you want to watch and follow directions on the screen. It's hard to believe you can record but not play back.
Err, are you sure you have a silver dvr? Normal cable boxes (usually black) will act like they're recording, but they don't have the hard drive inside them to record to. It's just a programming glitch. Your best bet would be to call comcast- they know what equipment you have registered and can give you information accurate to your area
