My reverse projection tv have a hazyness to the bottom corners what should i do?
Answers: The Philips and Magnavox sets have a path of the anti freeze going cloudy in the green and blue guns. Look (with a twosome of sunglasses, while the set is running)) into the lenses, and make sure at hand is no haziness in the coupling lens (the lens the solution makes up). This anti freeze keep the CRT cool since they are run fairly strong, and generate lots of heat.
I hold done 2 Philips sets just this week for anti freeze trouble. It should be clear as hose down, if it is not, that is the trouble. Your trouble could be that the anti freeze level have dropped, the top of the coupling lens chamber, when the projected statue hits the front of the set, appears at bottom of the screen. The figure will be out of focus in the nouns where the anti freeze is gone.
Edward is CORRECT....Funky crystals /algae develop contained by the Green and ESPECIALLY the Blue Crts and they create a Halo effect around objects....
Replacing the Coolant in the Phillips/Magnavox TV sets will restore that factory fresh look you want....(DO NOT attempt to repair this yourself--end result is YOU grasp coolant all over the power supply and break it more!)
