Vcr recording from high-def tv/cable?

Is there any way to record a program from my high-def cable box/tv on a vcr

Answer:
your cable box might have coax/cable out on it - this will connect to your vcr and allow you to record but the recording will not be in hi-def mode
No they dont make HD Vcr's, All components must be HD products, and you have to use either component cables or HDMI, if you have a DVD burner/recorder, some of those are HD, and you can probably work that out, but VCR's in the tv world are considered obsolete and no new technology will come out for them
There's no way that would work the VCR has to be HD to. They don't make HD VCR's. You can steal record, but it will NOT be in HD.
You need a high definition vhs recorder try Jvc HMD-H5U this will solve your problems!
