when we had the cable people put in our stuff...i wasnt here but they jus had a big cable come from my dads room to my room...it looked really unproffesional...the splitter is in his room...and then theres a longa*ss cable tht goes from his room in the hallway and to my room behind my bed and then to my tv with a bunch of cable left over rolled up and hooked in...everythin else is good...its only hbo channels that are either all squares..or nothing at all...it says please wait, channel will be available shortly...what could be the problem?

Call your cable company to fix the problem with HBO. I would also ask them to have someone review and clean up the current installation inside of your place.
