Why is my DLP/HD TV still not working even after I took all precautions while replacing the bulb.?

I still get the blinking power light plus a funny buzzing noise.

Answer:
Your problem wasn't the bulb. Your problem sounds like the fan that cools the bulb. The light is blinking because it's not clearing the pre-check. You need to make a service call.
Zeltar probably has you covered but check one more thing, I;ve seen on occasion when the bulb housing is slid into the receiver housing that it isn't right on target that one of the receiver plugs gets pushed to the side and misses the target and the plug in isn't complete.

You didn't mention the brand, but some Mitsubishi's have a heat sensor problem, but this usually shows up after the set powers up and is preceded by an air flow warning.
