Do rabbit ears really help TV reception?

Answer:
The best way to explain rabbit ear reception is to consider rabbit ears the equivalent of a dial-up internet connection. While DSL and cable are faster, have a greater reception by far, and reach farther, dial-up can still get you on the 'net. Similarly, satellite and cable are far-reaching, have more options, and get reception quicker than rabbit ears; you can, however, still watch TV with rabbit ears...you'll just be severely limited (to broadcast channels).

if you have no cable or satalite...very few broadcast stations left
Not if you have cable television!

They can improve reception but only a bit. They also have to be adjusted for each station
Well it's better than a piece of wire hanging out your Tuner connector.A Bowtie Antenna seems to work best over a loop antenna.

But the best is an 8-bay Bowtie outdoors on top of your roof.
