Digital cable help. please help me?
Answer:
You say "enhanced cable." Don't know what that is. If you don't know if you have an HDTV capable TV, anyone answering would just be guessing. Not having an HDMI does not mean you don't have a HDTV.
Comcast will provide a Digital signal for more $$$ over your regular service. Then, for another $5 or so over the digital signal, they will upgrade the digital signal to HDTV.
If you don't have an HDTV, getting an HDTV signal is worthless - just like flushing your money down the toilet. But the digital feed, alone, will probably somewhat upgrade your picture and audio.
Is your TV HD? Look on the back and see if it has an HDMI input.
Your probably getting HD ( hi-def ) thru the cable company. The box they install will have leads that plug from the dct ( cable box ) to the back of the tv. Should be 3 plug ins on the rear of the tv, red, green and blue..I think!!. A dead giveaway if your good is the front of the tv should have in letters HDTV. But...dont be put off if it doesnt, you'll still get great quality pics via digital cable, I got it and my tv is 15+ years old.
