I'm buying a 50 inch DLP tv?

which is the best DLP TV out there under 1500, I've done so much reading my head is spinning...HELP

Answer:
I currently own a 65" Smamsung DLP 1080p HDTV and it is the best TV ive ever owned.

PROS: Great resolution, great sound, and it was 1799.99. I got it on sale. Ive seen some of the sonys go for 3000+ and that is a rip off because their DLPs arent that great. I stayed away from the LCD because of the chance that it could have deap pixels and burt out screens. Dont even go for a Plasma because they need recahrging after 5 years or so. and could get Ghost lines on them.

CONS, The only con i could find is that they are bigger than the LCD and Plasma, but i can deal with that because the picture is superb.

You can get a 50-60 inch samsung dlp for around 1500 depending on the sale, and, did i mention theyre great?

Stick with Samsung, they are really good and have the best picture that ive seen and the price is usuall good too. Everyone i know has a samsung and loves it (even the ones that used to own the overpriced Sony's)
try wal-mart
Samsung. Those crafty Koreans have it going on.
Sony is the best quality, in my opinion. However, I heard about Visio, which claims to be high-quality and reasomably-priced

Good luck
well they all are really good
i have a dlp samsung 50' and it is pretty tight
you should go to best buy to get one cuz they have the most sales and wide selection
good choice going with the DLP
Sony,Toshiba,Pioneer Elite,Mitsubishi, hitachi are the best out there quality wise.

As for samsung. They are pretty bad and are not very robust. Alot of catastrophic failures.

To me and other repair centers in the area, we all agree Samsung is one of the worst when it comes to support, parts, design.

We call it Samscum. And thats why people pay cheap prices for it.

As for Sony, they are designed better and more service able.

Better quality and support.
I too have been looking into a DLP. I have heard almost nothing but great things from Samsungs DLP's. Almost every single review has been GREAT!! The bulps do need to be replaced about every 2-3 yrs. I've also heard DLP's have much better side angle viewing than LCD's. Circuit City has the 50 in. 1080p for $1600.
here's a link on ebay where you can read reviews of them by ebay members.
