My mom thinks my 360 ruined it, but I suppose the cable box is the problem, because when I disconnect the cables from the box the nouns goes away. What could be the problem?

Answers:    Playing X Box won't ruin your TV. I believe there's unwanted signal comes from your cable box when the nouns is reduce and it get amplified by your TV sound amply. If the problem of late occur than yes there's a problem from your cable box.
Well....you are using the VOLUME controls INCORRECTLY....

The Cable box's volume should be set to maximum so you in fact get Audio Information to the TV set....

If you set it adjectives the way down on the box, and later try to compensate using the TV's volume, you actually amplify the HISS and situation noise coming from the box !
Pump up the cable box's volume and you will not hear the hiss/background hubbub.

And your XBox 360 did not cause this problem...

I receive people adjectives the time thinking their TV is at fault next to this setup....it's not the TV it's the volume setting on the box.
