Problems with my 61" Samsung DLP Tv?

I purchased a Samsung DLP tv a year ago this month. We recently moved to germany, as my husband is in the Armed Forces. The tv was working fine four about a week and then all of a sudden the TV screen got a thin black area on the left side of the screen going all the way from top to bottom. The black area is now spreading from the left to the right slowly. What is wrong that is causing my screen to go black?

Answer:
1. Its a cheap low end unit, made by samscum.

2. Could be light engine

3.Possibly a bulb, but rare.

Throw it away/or get it repaired and or buy a quality unit.

Sony
Toshiba
Pioneer Elite
