Sanyo TV, individual stays on for a few seonds, next hindmost sour again.?

This TV was made within 1998, 27", not sure model right now... but it powers on fine, but next flicks itself right back bad again. I am fairly dutiful at soldering, and have the gear... own read a few possibilities... I have a volt-meter, what considerate of thinga can I check to determine the problems?

Do both sound and pic walk off ?
If so consequently is there a soaring pitched noise ?

The scorn description still leaves a Lot of possibilities so start with the most adjectives source of trouble namely the horizontal amp transistor , after that is the flyback transformer which is driven by the horiz amp transistor, hopefully both are not imprecise !. Bear in mind when carrying out tests the transistor with your multi meter ( on diode assessment ) that there is an internal diode connected between collector and emitter, You could also simply connect your meter ( on ohms similar to 50k ) red lead on collector and black front to chassis ! The reading should be over 10 kohms , if it is a lot lower later either it is shorted or the transformer is, See how you progress from here !!
