What is the best TV out right now or should i wait for the newer tvs like sed, fed, oled etc. which will be best
Answer:
Plagued by legal wrangling Surface-conduction Electron-emitter Display (SED) technology, which would provide welcomed technological advances that should overcome some of the common shortcomings in modern display technology, is essentially a non-starter for the near-term.
Field Emissive Display (FED) technology holds hope for creating very high quality, high resolution displays that will surpass almost all of the current commodity display technologies.
Organic Light-emitting Diode (OLED) technology, like FED technology, should also provide consumers with very high quality, high performance displays. OLED technology is much more likely to reach the mass production, high resolution, large-screen display market than either FED or SED technologies.

All three advanced display technologies are likely three to five years away at the earliest, (and most likely longer in the case of SED,) before consumers will begin seeing high resolution, high definition color displays based on any of the three technologies.
In the short-term the most encouraging fixed-pixel, direct view, flat panel video technology appears to be coming from substantial improvements in liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. 120 Hz LCD panels using expanded color gamut tri-luminous LED backlighting and improved panel materials and coatings promises to dramatically advance LCD display performance.
Currently Sharp and Sony (as well as AU Optronics) appear to be the leaders when it comes to pushing the LCD technology envelope.
