I'm planning on purchasing a Samsung - from adjectives my research, it seems approaching the one for me, but I know you'll get a million different opinion on that. Good luck!
I would say if your looking around the $1000 red mark and don't plan spending another $1000 on a bunch of high def components I would look at this one. Vizio 42" LCD HDTV Model #: VIZ VX42LHDTV10A. Its below the $1000 mark, I used to be greatly sceptcial about vizio until I spent some time around them. They really aren't to fruitless at all As long as you don't buy the ones Wal-mart sell you should be just fine. That out of the ordinary model is 720p not 1080p which is a good piece. It keeps the price down and unless you plan on spending a bunch of money on Blu-Ray or HD DVD players and even more on large end surround nouns recievers and speakers you will never miss the extra resolution and sound substitute they offer. Especially contained by a smaller TV such as a 37 or 42 in.
