Is a hdtv and digital tv indistinguishable or different?

I am trying to find out is a high-def tv is the same entry as a digital tv or is there two different television.

Answers:    No. HDTV are digital tvs, but digital tvs aren't HDTVs.
HDTVs have a any 720 lines of resolution or 1080, whereas a regular tv, like a digital tv, have 480. Digital tv just way that it's capable of reciveing digital broadcasting from the antenna instead of analog broadcasting. So HDTVs are digital tvs (since they support digital broadcasting), but digital tvs aren't other HDTVs (since they're not all High Definition)
adjectives hdtv's are digital but not all digital tv's are hd. HD is solitary broadcast in digital code looks approaching _-_-_-_-_- with 1's and 0's. analog broadcasts look resembling a sin wave. If you see a tv that say advanced def or ehanced def there is a appropriate possibility that it is a digital tv but does not have HD capability.
