its the tube, best to find a second-hand one as the marketplace is flooded with them, or return with a new crt for smaller number then lb300!.

It's slowly dying.....sorry! Make sure that it is not still surrounded by warranty. Sometimes we forget and may still have a few months of warranty on it. Also check the manufacturer website and see if there hold been any recall of the model you own. They turn out bad batch every once in a while. Bye.
Well your Yellow Picture is cause by LACK of BLUE in it....
And your Gray picture next to white Horizontal lines sounds like a LACK of VIDEO....
Since it comes and go, I suspect the worst case is your Video IC, BUT I REALLY focus you have a grip of BAD SOLDER CONNECTIONS.....
Bad solder is certainly cheaper to repair, to some extent than replacing it.
If your Grundig is a 27 inch or smaller, the video IC might be about alike price as a new TV....going on for $150.00 US or 80 pounds UK.
