What is the best antenna to gain?

I don't have cable or sattelite rationale I just want to be capable of watch my local channel but the antenna I have is fuzzy and sometimes easier said than done to get channel in.

Answers:    I would suggest a trip to your local Radio Shack to look over TV antennas surrounded by stock. While you are there ask almost the digital conversion and what antenna will work best with the converter box you will have need of after 2008, when analog television go the way of the buffalo nickel and the hoop skirt.

Your box won't work without the converter box. I enjoy no idea what the antenna requirements will be, but Radio Shack will any know or be able to refer you to someone who does know.

Generally, a elevated antenna, using coaxial cable rather than twin-lead will confer you decent reception. You will necessitate a fairly high-ceilinged mast to receive good distance from the ground. This should allow you to watch your local channel until analog TV goes bye-bye.
There's no undemanding answer to this, as it is going to vary considerably according to where on earth you live. The type of antenna you need will depend on such factor as how far away you are from the transmitters, the specific channel frequencies broadcasting contained by your area, and your local geography (such as any hill or tall buildings obstruct the signal).

If you look at your neighbours' antennas, you will probably notice that one precise type is more common than the others. This may make a contribution you a clue as to what you need.

However, the best bet is to consult the services of a professional antenna installer. They will know how to check your existing installation and determine whether it was okay originally, and if so, whether a repair is feasible. If it isn't, they will be capable of recommend a system that will provide you with the optimum competence of reception possible in your nouns.
If you THINK the antenna is worn out, replace it with a tunable tabletop antenna, it's the one near the knob on it to select/match the antenna to the channel you want to recieve....

Then budge to Radio Shack and get one of the 20db RF amplifiers and modernize your signal even more....

Unfortunately you would have to install a roof mounted antenna for the BEST reception and I would suggest an 8 Bay BOWTIE antenna....

Use this for best antenna meeting....
