I bought a VGA to Component cord having a problem.?
Answer:
Well.do you get ANYTHING on your TV when using the patch cord??
NOT all NEW cords are good.
If you're getting some kind of signal, then you may have to change the Video Card's settings.
Since TV's operate on a 30 Hz FRAME RATE, you may want to start by setting your resolution to 800 x 600 at 60 HZ
And only stay with the 60 HZ choices..don't go to 70 or 80 HZ.
NOW if 800 x 600 -60Hz doesn't get you a picture on the TV, now you gotta get the experts to verify what is really Broken.the TV, the cable OR the Computer/Video Card.
And they can only do that with all 3 pieces at their SHOP.
They are going to scope that signal coming out of the cable first.then proceed in the proper direction of troubleshooting afterwards...
You may need to alternate click on your PC desktop wall paper to access graphics properties options to get the PC to send a signal. If this doesn't work you may want to resort to reading your PCs manual:-)
