720 p or 1080p or 1080 i?

apparently my tv cant do 1080p but it can do 1080 i & 720p is 1080p really that much better than 720p and is 720p or 1080i better

Answers:    If your TV is smaller than 50", you don't need 1080P. see relation below. Whatever you feed into your TV, 720P or 1080i, it will be converted to your sets local resolution. For most 720P sets, that is 768P. So it really doesn't issue much whether you're feeding it 720P or 1080i.
