I just get my new samsun 40 inch lcd tv. Last hours of darkness I watched my first movie, Blades of Glory, and it be the widescreen edition of the movie. For some reason the movie played full eyeshade and I even checked the dvd player settings, and it was set correctly for my tv ratio and everything. I afterwards stuck Pirates of the Carribean 2 in and it be in widescreen...why would one movie be full and one yawning when they both are widescreen movies?
Answers: Often there will be both edition on the disk. WS on one side and fullscreen on the other. Perhaps you just have need of to flip it over. Or maybe the answer is even simpler.....the businesswoman of the DVD messed up.
also, there are aspect ratio on the tv itself. usually, normal,zoom,cavernous,etc...
