New query on the marquant tv dilemma?
Answer:
Sorry to read this.
It's not a disaster, but it could drive you nuts trying to fix...
Every SCART plug or socket, will either send or receive a control signal on pin 8. This signal tells the equipment at the other end, whether it should be sending out a signal itself, or accepting the signal from the other piece of equipment.
Somewhere in your setup, it's getting scrambled. The first thing is to make sure ALL of your leads have the full 21 pins connected. Some only connect 10 pins. The easiest way might be to simply replace them all with very good quality ones (www.cpc.co.uk is cheap).
The other problem is software. You will need to make sure that if something is outputting an RGB (rarther than a composite signal), then the piece of equipment receiving the signal, should be set to receive RGB and so on.
Sorry, this is messy and will take a long while to sort out, unless you get lucky. Took me two weeks...
Good luck!
only have a direct connection with dvd to tv.
the way to achieve this if you are running other equipment is to use scart splitter.
this is 3 scarts or more on 1 block with other end 1 scart connected to tv.
connect remaining equipment to other scarts on block.
