Best settings for my 42" Westinghouse 1080p HDTV....color, contrast, adjectives that well brought-up stuff? Anybody own one
Answers: Cecelia: I dislike to burst your bubble, but that Westinghouse isn't exactly a top rated HDTV! That human being said, read the below site for directions and suggestions in correctly setting up your TV. Be aware that much of your problem probably results form using a different signal input source than be used for demo purposes in the store. BB may even own had it hooked up to a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD (1080p) input.

Did you plug it into your standard def cable or antenna?
That TV CAN look as right in your home as it did on the show floor - but you hold to feed it HD signals.
The number one sense people return a HDTV is nobody tell them that they need to upgrade their home service to cable or sit that provides real HD channel.
Standard def (even from cable or a DVD player) was fixed contained by the late 1940's and solely enough information surrounded by the screen for a 9-inch tube. You are displaying this on a high-resolution display and you are seeing how poor the technology be.
Upgrade your service or try an antenna. Use the website below, type in your address and see if HD antennas is close plenty to your home to use a simple UHF or indoor antenna.
