Hi what do you think about the new broadband /TV/phone from sky?
Answer:
Could not possibly comment on Sky broadband from personal experience as I have not had it, but a few of the people that I know that have the service have experienced problems with it.
Check out Virgin Media. They seem to have some good deals going on.
Faster Broadband speeds.
Free-fone phone number if you have a Virgin Media phone line or local call number if with BT or other provider. Most Broadband providers use national (up to 10p per min) or premium (up to £1.50 per min) rate numbers for help and support, why should we pay for help when more often than not the fault is there's.
Free V+ HD box (saving £300.) and it can record 2 programmes whilst watching another, unlike Sky which is record 1 watch 1.
Also with Virgin the multi room is cheaper with the V+ box, £5 as apposed to £10 with Sky.
Many other services and deals available. Well worth checking out as you might save a few quid, and we all like getting a better deal.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Would be interested in the response. I am a Sky TV owner which is good but I have been contemplating the Broadband service as I currently use BT. I find that the forums at http//www.adslguide.org.uk are a good reference. You would certainly never take Talk Talk if you read the users experiences. Hope this helps in some way? The price looks good though.
I was considering sky broadband but after some investigation, I found the reports and comments on the service were not good. My friend was given a connection date, 10 days later it still had'nt happen and has subsequently gone to BT. I cannot comment on the quality of the TV and phone but if you are having the whole package the broadband needs to work. The quality may also be dependent on the area you live in, but personally I would give it a wide berth.
