Are HDMI cables alone enough to get full HD?

Or do i need to also connect the blue green and red ones to to my HD cable box to the TV

Answer:
HDMI cables, with a HDTV receiver, and HDTV are enough to provide full HDTV and digital audio. No component cables or otherwise are needed.

One of the main benefits of HDMI is the elimination of the wires.
All you need is the HDMI Cable. The others are there in case you didn't have it (an HDMI cable.)
Yes, HDMI will give you both hi def audio and video thru one cable. Throw those other cables away (not literally).

FYI - With the component you can get to 720p/1080i hd but not hd audio. Hope that this helps
one or the other is good enough . hdmi is better and it brings in you hd video signal and your audio where as your componant cable the red green blue only bring in video you would need a red and white rca cable for then audio and the length really has nothing to do with the hd signal.
