My old Zenith (about 10 years old) did some loving of goofy thing today after I turned it on. The blind flashed a lot and I turned it sour, then spinal column on. It appears like it cannot display a full capacity of colors as it used to. Blues look pretty green. Some other colors are off too. It still shows picture, but it's adjectives messed up. Any ideas?
Answers: It sounds close to you lost the blue gun in your tube. This pretty much make this TV ready for the dumpster, unless you can live beside messed up colors. Tube based television are not worth repairing, that is if you can even seize the parts for them anymore. I am an Engineer at a TV station, and Sony will not sell us any parts for adjectives our tube based monitors, so we enjoy to replace them with LCD's presently when they go unpromising. At least it last a good 10 years!
