TV won't turn off?
Answer:
I don't think your power button is stuck, if that was the case you wouldn't be able to control any of the other functions (vol. or ch.). Do you have to push the power button on when you plug it back in or does it come right back on by itself?
I would guess something in the power supply or the microprocessor that controls your tv on/off, vol. up/dn & ch up/down functions. If you don't mind unplugging or switching your power bar off, keep doing that, otherwise you'll need a repairman in to check this one out.
Maybe your house is possessed. Un plug it
Tell the T.V. guy to come over.
try unplugging it.
Your on button might be stuck.
Have you checked to make sure that either the power button on the tv or the remote control are not stuck down??
Like the others said, the button is most likely pushed in, causing it to blink back on. Get someone to fix this for you, or do it yourself (unsure exactly what to use, though). Hope this helps.
Try unplugging the set for a half hour. Then plug it back in and try to turn it on then off. If it still acts up it needs to be looked at by a TV tech. There is most likely some sort of relay switch in the TV's power supply that is going or has gone bad. There are a multitude of parts in the power supply that could cause this problem. Good luck.
Ever the seen "The Ring"?
I'd say the power button on the TV is stuck in the ON position, or the relay that takes the signal from the remote is out of whack. It really should be looked at by a pro.
