Would you buy a plasma T.V. online?
Answer:
Sure. As long as the retailer is legit. Dell, Amazon, Gateway, or others.
Use a credit card to pay so you have the protection it can provide. Get a tracking number. Know the return policy before you buy. Sometimes you don't save much if you have a restocking fee and return shipment costs.
Yes, use a reputable outlet.
NO!! MAY GET DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING.
depends on how well known this so called retailer is
I would not purchase a plasma TV online for a couple of reasons. First, the TV's are fragile, and the odds of something happening to it on the way to you are against you. You don't want to deal with sending the TV back and forth for repairs if it has problems either. Second, you can't get installation online. If you buy from a local retailer, you can often have the TV installed fairly cheap. I have a 42 inch plasma and I can tell you, setting one of these things up is not as simple as it sounds. I would recommend buying one of these things locally and not on the net.
Only from a well known outlet AND only if shipping were cheap.
Most of the time, large items are not worth the savings because of shipping costs.
It's worth it to me to pay the extra $100 or so to have it now instead of 4-6 weeks (IF it's in stock)
NO. I won't buy anything over $200 unless I can physically see it, touch it, adjust it.
If it is a major retailer then yes, but I would have insurance on the package and that the TV is warrantied. Just remember, when it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
