What is wrong with my big screen tv?

When you first turn on the tv, it looks like it zoom in. The menu bar is 1/2 off the screen. All corner aren't clear. If you turn the tv off for 5 min. sometime it will be fine again, but then it seem to turn itself off and zoom in again.

Answer:
if its the old tube style TV it may be time for a new one thats usually a sign that its going to die anyday. if that tv is more than at least 10 years old its probably time to trash it.
