What is the difference between a 720p,1080i and a 1080p HD tv?

Also put them in order of best to worst.

Answer:
It is just a measure of resolution (picture clarity). The 1080p carries the highest potential for best resolution. Although, I can't see the difference between 720p and 1080i, because they're both damned clear. I saw a 1080p Sony Bravia at Costco and was impressed... it's a little better than the others. In this case, there is no worst. You have 720p: damned good, 1080i: a little better, and 1080p: the best.
Good 720p = 1280x720 pixels progressive
Good 1080i = 1920x1080 pixels interlaced
Best 1080p = 1920x1080 pixels progressive

Progressive: Whole image is shown on each frame
Interlaced: Half of image is shown on the first, other half on second frame and so on.
To really see the difference you would need a descent sized TV. 38">
