I would do some research, CeQnA.com really isnt the place to come to get a answer on a high dollar purchase. Find some brands and models, research them and then go to the store and see which one looks the best to you. Operate the remote control and menus and see if they are easy to work with etc. Check for any types of glare, check the inputs, outputs and see what best fits your needs. Hope this helps.
Sony Bravia XBR. It comes in 40" and 46", and soon 52". The specs are top-notch - good color gamut, fast response time, good contrast ratio. It is true 1080p HD - 1920x1080 pixels.
I own the Bravia 40", and it is the best TV I have ever seen. I use it with HD cable and an XBox 360. Both are gorgeous. And the TV unit itself is almost a work of art.
Here's the Amazon.com page for it, and it has all of the specs for the Bravia, and many photos: http://www.amazon.com/sony-kdl-40xbr2-br...
