Are within organization grant available for buying HD television?

I thought I heard something similar to it as a promo for the evening news, but I wasn't around to examine the news. Does anybody know anything in the region of this?

Answers:    I suppose you can see it as a grant. But it's not to buy a strange TV.

The US Commerce Dept will be issuing $40 coupons, up to two per qualifying household, to purchase DTV converter boxes after January 1, 2008 for your existing TVs. Keep an eye out for secondary details on how to apply for them.
Not that I am aware of.
