Something about connecting a battery to the back or something like that. Apparently it scrambles the code and fools sky into thinking you have subscribed to all channels.?? Is this true? And can anyone tell me how to do it!?

No that I am aware of unless you can purchase a doggy sky card from a sky engineer, but i understand that they only last for a month or so.
I think not. In an ideal world, it would be possible, but its not. And anyway, that would be ilegal.
