I have a Phillips 28inch tv, all the normal TV channels on it can receive stereo sound, and I can switch from mono to stereo with the remote control. However Sky tv is only mono not stereo, I have tried switching but it wont receive stereo. Any ideas?

you will have to connect by scart to get stereo sound, mono only through rf connection !
if you tv has scart use it, if it doesn't then just got phono cable ( red / white ) from the back of the sky box to the input of the tv.
