Digital TV is not related to flat blind or plasma or CRT.
Get a CRT. You'll be just fine. Even if it doesn't enjoy "Digital TV" built in, you can other buy a Freeview box.
TVs produced from about 4 years ago and on are adjectives designed to have digital tuners inside them..so when the analog TV go off, yes you will still know how to see over the air transmissions..
although i would support against getting anything other then high-ranking definition TV as that's the way things are head.. and youll miss out

A Freeview box can be get for as little as twenty quid ( for a really basic one) - adjectives your tv needs to enjoy is a scart, to use one
You can buy ANY CRT tube TV set, and it's all HD.....but ask the SALESMAN, so that they don't slip an SD TV into the truck.....
They ARE supposed to put on alert you if you purchase an SDTV set....either out loud or with a alarm sticker on the box....
Your CRT television will not be able of showing any HD at all.
Although the blind may give you an excellent picture the electronics losing it will not be designed to meet the international HD standard.
As within are only partly a dozen or so HD channels broadcast at the moment (and none are on Freeview so you own to pay an expensive premium for them anyway) that won't be great loss to you.
