How do I connect my tv to my stereo?
Answer:
ON your TV, IF you have "Audio or Monitor" OUTPUTS...you hook those up to any RCA input you choose on your stereo amplifier.Video, TV, Tape, CD etc.
RCA-to-RCA. Just make sure red and white are matched up and TV audio output goes into stereo input. Make sure there's good penetration. You may have to wiggle it around a little to get a good reaction.
You need an " audio -out " connection on your TV, and a switch to turn off the internal speakers in the TV. If you have an audio-out on the TV, connect an audio cable( 2 male connectors on each end-red & white) to that (right & left) audio-out, and the other end to the audio-in on your stereo. All the coax one is for is to bring the cable in to your TV.
Just use a RCA audio cable with the red and white and connect it to the audio in on the stereo. Do nothing with the video out , just leave your video connected to the coaxial side of the TV. Make sure that your stereo in turned to the correct aux setting and you should have a theater like experience. I have done this before. It is like having a "poor man's surround sound".
