With the ilo plasma tv how do you get it to stay in stereo when switching from channel to channel?

every time i turn the channel or just turn the tv on, i have to hit the button to make it switch from mono to stereo. ive read the manual played with the remote, searched the web. help?

Answer:
A TV should automatically detect if the input source is mono or stereo.
Check your TV audio settings, maybe you have set it up to mono.
On my cable TV package, not all channels are in stereo, depending on what it is. Stereo isn't really needed on some channels like news ones & fix-it or make over channels. Just a thought. When mine is on a stereo channel , it indicates so with an LED display saying stereo, it goes out when I go to a non stereo one. Could be your problem.
