Can I play a 1080i video demo via a camcorder on my 720p HDTV??

Will I get a picture at the 720p setting or will it not play at adjectives? If it won't play, can I downconvert the file to 720p to scrutinize the video? thanks.

Answers:    Yes. Any 720p TV can play 1080i content.
However, solely i.link, component, DVI, or HDMI inputs support HD inputs.
If you use composite/S-video cable, the best you can get out of the camcorder is 480i.
It won't play at 1080, but it should play at 720. You could other go the undisruptive route and use normal RCA cable (Red, White, Yellow) for a standard video signal. Any TV can display that.
