New TV Problems?
Answer:
Is this CRT TV? All thing that explain above only worked for CRT TV.
I think you need to ask for home services, and ask your TV to be check.
I'm not sure what do you mean by crooked, is the picture slightly not straight Horizontally? If yes you need to find the tilt function on the menu and try to adjust it.
If the menu don't have this function than you need to turn a little bit the defl yoke (better to ask technician to do this).
FYI magnetic thing like speaker don't cause this issue, magnetic usually cause your screen to have mislanding effect (weird color on the screen) turning off the unit for three minutes and than on will activate the degaussing circuit and remove this symptom.
This sounds like the deflection yoke on the tube neck has moved, this can have happened during transit though deflection yokes are usually well secured. It just needs a little turn until the pic is straight. Get a TV tech to do it though as it can be hazardous if you have no experience .
The above assumes that the picture is tilted as a whole and just needs rotating to fix !! I have done this more times than I have had hot dinners ! Cheers Pete
Return it to the store purchased from for an exchange.
Well Pete is right about the possibility that the yoke "rotated" during shipping. It does require a TECHNICIAN to properly align it.
IF you have the TV TECH come out to your home to service it, have him bring out his NTSC Video generator, it doesn't have to be ATSC...
Now.I assume you checked your menu for the TILT adjustment and found it, then used it without achieving a satisfactory alignment correct?? Great.you want to make sure you tried it and it couldn't fix the problem...
NOW, MAKE SURE YOU FIND AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER FOR TOSHIBA -Call Toshiba for the nearest one.
THEN...MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MADE A >>>COPY<<< of the purchase reciept for the Technician.
ALL MANUFACTURERS require that for warranty repairs.
