Universal remote control doesn't work?

i bought a universal remote controller, on which it said it supports my tv brand, but i tried and it didn't work.

Answer:
the universal remote control eill need the codes given in the handbook,

however, if you have a new tv and the remote is an " old " one then it will not be compatible as the chip inside cannot be update ( unless it is a harmory ).

Also if the remote in a 3 in 1 or same genre, then please ensure that the " tv " switch mode is on the tv.

Take it back to the shop, explain what model tv and age it is.

hope this helps wg
take it back to the shop then
read the manual.
if you ever buy any electronics item without warranty
then you must check it firs
So tell me .. unless you put the brand name or the TV and or the remote how can anyone help you ..
Please think about things like that before you ask a question because if i were a mind reader i would be sitting on a Tropical Island with a cool refreshing drink in my hand watching my 100 foot Yacht swaying with the waves ..
Id be rich in other words ...

so come back and add that important information and I will try to help you
If the codes in the manual are not working with your system, try the 'scan' option that the manual talks about until you can power your system off and on. It will take time the first time, but once you get the right code, write it down and save it in the manual for next time.
