I live within Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and enjoy a 50 inch Pioneer Plasma TV I want to augment the ASTRO satelitte?

picture and have be told to buy a DVDO video processor which will convert my analogue signal into a digital one even though the picture will not be Hi Definition it will be a great improvement but it costs 10,000 ringgits !! Is it worth it will it really confer me a picture that is worth this cost. Advise please

Answers:    Theres no point to "invest" more to improve astro reception.astro is of no better quality than regular tv broadcast.astro can shouts and push all almost its "digital" and "satellite" broadcast.But they never mentioned about video QUALITY.The solitary thing "digital" roughly speaking astro is the audio.It is as good as "NICAM".Just supreme for Dolby pro-logic.But short of reaching THX/SDDS/DTS.
You might be tempted to buy a "2xscanning or file doubler/interlace" but such device is already incorporated inside your plasma.Please refer to the instruction manual to cause it.
