Trying to find a good flat screen "tube" tv. cannot afford a lcd tv. 27inches.?

need one with good picture. which brand is best.

Answer:
I love my Toshiba 27 inch TV
Wal-mart actually sells a great tube hd tv! Its a phillips 30'' widescreen flatscreen with a built in hd converter. I think it is like 526.00. I have this tv in a spare room and the picture quality is great. I actually would get comments on it from people with plasmas and LCDs telling me how suprisingly good the picture was. Although I have since upgraded to a 1080p 50'' DLP, I still love my little phillips.
You can find lots of bargain tvs on http://www.caretotrade.com/ , a lot of people from the US use it to advertise their unwanted stuff. Advertising is free so it is worth trying out.
A 34" Sony HDTV Tube 1080i with a ton of connections aout $899

Sony is the way to go for tubes, and Toshiba.
