I'd choose DISH...bigger satellite dish for BETTER signal lock.
But in any case of satellite installs....IF you hold the satellite mounted in your patio instead of the roof it will be MORE STABLE over the seasons....

So, if Direct TV is the ONLY satellite you want...achieve it mounted in your patio.
