The "F" plug connector broke on my cable TV input. Help!?

I purchased new screw-on connections, and enjoy attempted to follow the instructions, but the picture is still very fuzzy. Does anyone own good instructions, or a honest website, to help me near this? Thank you.

Answers:    Is it the connector at the TV, or is ti the cable end piece itself? If the cable closing is defective, there are several options available. Start at Radio shack and explain to them you need a crimp-on "F" connector (I dislike those screw on types, they do not ground very well).

If the "F" connector is broken rotten the TV set, you can have a alien one installed. I usually charge 45~55.00 plus tax, depending upon what I own to remove, and replace to get the connector repaired (at the tremendously least, a clean "F" connector). EDIT: please do not over-tighten the connector, it should only be finger tight! Over-tightening can weaken the TV sets "F" connector.

Those fancy tools are nice, but I just use a correct sharp knife, and crimpers. You could carry away with a virtuous set of pliers. It will not look so pretty, but should work just fine. The biggest article you must pay attention to, is the ground (outer shield) conductor. generate sure you have a devout contact there, and that it does not short into the center conductor(inner copper).

If at hand are any more questions, please consistency free to email me. I will be happy to provide any assistance I can.
ONCE AGAIN, EDWARD is CORRECT !

If the TV cable be connected to the TV it likely worn out the connector on the TV set....so it would have to be repaired too....

Screw on connectors work ok, if you fold the OUTER shield over the black plastic outer sheath....and put together sure the WHITE inner insulator extends 3/16 of an inch farther out...and the CENTER conductor has another 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch olden the white insulator......
The screw on should have some resistance to it while screw it on.....
Then you can TRUST that to be repaired properly.....

If it's still snowy, LOOK at the TV's antenna connector....is it BENT? Loose and Wiggly? Then that NEEDS repaired too....
