Is the brand techwood for televisions any good?

Answer:
They are cheap.

They have poor sound quality, poor picture quality and poor build quality, because they are cheap.

"Buy cheap, buy twice..."
Considering that there only about 5 companies in the world that make TVs and other electrical products, you will be buying a TV made by one of the 'big' manufacturers but with the Techwood brand casing.

With luck it should be no worse, or better, than big name brands.
The moral of the story is if you have not heard of the brand then steer clear - Techwood are a classic cheap supermarket brand tv that tend to be programmed to last the warranty then blow-up. Go for a well known brand ( Sony, Hitachi, Philips, Panasonic etc ) You may pay more but you will get far more viewing years out of it and it will be much easier and cheaper to repair if it ever does go wrong. Hope that helps.
cheap make.
you get what you pay for.
