They plan to auction the "old" television channel to private company's like cellular phone companies and take home boo koo bucks. And to top it all sour after spending upwards of $500 dollars on a television you will own to buy an analog to digital converter! A lot of devout things can be done with that spectrum. Much better cellular service coverage for one, which will include rural areas. Lots of money will be made, and lots of job will be created. And yes, the government will go and get a huge amount of money, some of which will be spent to buy you digital-to-analog converters.
