I own newly bought a standard definition set-top box.?

Will this still receive programs when all the TV stations
adjust over exclusively to HD broadcasting?

Answers:    Analog over the air TV is end, digital is continuing. All HDTV is digital, not all digital is HD, some is SD. If your box includes an ATSC tuner, consequently it will work with digital over t6he nouns. Since you haven't provided a manufacturer and model number, I can't be more specific as to it's capability. Please provide this information.
It should if you're getting your signal over the airwaves.....

But with Cable and Satellite, it may completely outdate their elder Boxes......

Personally, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.....
