It may just need degaussing. Try turning it on and off quickly about 15-20 times. This has a degaussing effect. You can also try unplugging it for 20 minutes. I have seen this work wonders. Otherwise, take it to an authorized repair center. They are the only ones who have access to the parts that may be needed.

A big green circle? Sounds like it might be the shadow mask. Be carefull, because if the shadow mask comes completely loose it can brake tube, causin it to explode.

It's called a Deflection Yoke.you loosened it up and lost the alignment from the Factory...
Well..all you can do now is to unplug the tv, loosen the screws again, and push the yoke towards the front of the TV to RESEAT it.After that you can fire up the TV and get MSNBC on and use the scrolling at the bottom to adjust the YOKE TILT.You rotate it like you rotate a door knob to adjust TILT..
IN AND OUT is what caused that Green BLOB in the middle..PUSH in...Green Blob disappears.
PULL out..Green blob reappears..
PUSH IN...Make green blob disappear.
