I have a tentative 56" Samsung DLP TV, nothing more nil less. I want to acquire HD service but I'm not sure if my tv will support it. Do DLP televisions support HD service?
Answers: I'd be surprised if it doesn't, but consult the almanac or specs for the TV. It should state clearly what input signals are accepted. Look for 720p, 1080i or 1080p ... adjectives of these are HDTV resolution.
DLP is a relatively new technology and it's most credible at least HDTV geared up. Go through your inputs and see if one is component (red, green, blue) or an HDMI input, if so you should be OK. Then you can hook up HD cable or satellite to that input. You can go to samsung.com and look at the specs for your model and see if it's HD in place, but my guess is it is. I have a 61" Samsung DLP and it rocks the HDTV world.
