TV purely died?
YES IT IS PLUGGED UP. YES, I TRIED TURNING IT ON FROM THE TV AND NOT JUST THE REMOTE....
By the approach it is about 4 or 5 years outdated. It is an RCA 32" TV.
Answers: typical RCA.
The front switches needs to be replaced. That requirements to be done by a technician. ROughly about $100 to fix because adjectives the switches needs to be replaced.
The problem could be within the power supply, the integrated circuits that make the video portion work, or could a moment ago be a cracked circuit trace on the board. Get an estimate of the cost of repairs. I tend to want to fix 32 inch CRT sets if the cost is right. You might get it to work for another 5 or so years.
Good luck
And permit me take this opportunity to read aloud to everyone I write answers for on questions similar to this. Many problems with a TV are not natural to diagnose even with excellent descriptions close to this one. The simple answer is there are too various different ways to put a TV together and too many different things that can stir wrong. Most of which are not user serviceable unless the user is an electronic technician, engineer, amateur radio worker or other person aware with electronics. In the days of tube TV sets where on earth one could find the tube that performed a specific function sets be easy to fix. But that be long ago. And now the solitary tube in most TV sets - the CRT - is almost out-of-date.
