I have just bought a 42" plasma television. Can anybody tell me what i can use to clean the screen with.?
Answer:
I emailed Panasonic customer service on this issue, as there were no directions in the product manual.
Panasonic directions for a plasma screen:
Use a soft, lint free cloth, alone, if this gets the job done.
If more is needed, use the cloth dampened with water.
If more, yet, is needed, use a very mild dish washing soap and water solution, then wipe with off with just a damp cloth, followed by another to dry it. I was told never to put any commercial cleaner, of any kind, on the screen.
a soft cloth, like the ones you would use to clean a pair of glasses. if there is marks on the screen that you cant get rid off it use a small amount of furniture polish but spray it on the cloth not the tv.
glass cleaner will work best
I use the microfiber soft cloth that came with my Sony PSP. I lightly dust in a delicate circular motion.
I also have a little yellow post-it note near the TV which reads "DO NOT TOUCH THE TV SCREEN UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY IT!".
oh god i want one ..can i come and lick the screen for u !? pleeeeeease ??
go to your TV store you bought it at and ask if they have any special type of thing to clean the TV with
Never ever ever use windex or a general glass cleaner like that. It will strip the "sheene" off of your LCD screen. "Monster" makes a great product to clean your computer or television LCD screen.
Water+ a soft cloth be sure not to damage it
I use monster screen cleaner its fantastic for getting off finger prints, dust etc, you can get it from comet (if your in UK) or try monstercable.com
best thing i have found is from Halfords , microfibre cloth used dry . it lifts of all dirt and most marks.
if you have to use any liquid only water - damp cloth is best , stay clear of polish etc it will damage the screen
good luck
The best thing is a Swiffer Duster, because it not only is soft, it cleans well and does not create static.
