I recently purchased a Toshiba Regza 42" 1080p LCD TV (model# 42LZ196). I notice a lot of blur on when watching HDTV channels via Comcast HD. I also tried watching a 720p HD movie (Superman Returns) with my Xbox 360 and had the same issue. I can't watch the TV very long as it seems to strain my eyes. Is this a problem with the TV (I know LCD's have a history of blur but it's supposed to be better now) or the video source?
The TV has a 30 day return policy and I'm wondering if trading it in for a similar sized Plasma would solve the problem.
Answer:
Yes you better replace the unit, it's not worth it to torture your eyes.
But maybe you're watching it to close?
For plasma it has a better contrast, but according to my opinion LCD picture is much better, but of course you can try first.
BTW the good brand for LCD TV is Sony and Sharp for plasma try Panasonic.
sorry to tell you buddy but your Toshiba Regza 42" 1080p LCD TV is not a true 1080p .do your research before buying a TV .www.cnet.com
